Loyk Mara Camp is a tented safari camp in the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.

Enquiry and booking details: your name, email address, telephone number, country of residence, travel dates, number of guests and any preferences or requests you send us.

Stay details: arrival and departure dates, the tent you occupy, dietary requirements and any accessibility needs you choose to share, and payment or invoicing records.

Information passed to us by a travel agent, tour operator or online travel agency when they book on your behalf.

Basic technical information from your visit to this website — pages viewed and approximate region — collected by our hosting provider to keep the site secure and available. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation or itinerary.

To confirm and deliver your stay — reservations, transfers, dietary and accessibility arrangements, and safety at an unfenced camp.

To take payment and keep the accounting and tax records Kenyan law requires of us.

To reply to you afterwards, and — only if you have asked us to — to send you occasional news about the camp. Every such message carries an unsubscribe link.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

We share only what is necessary with the parties who make your stay happen: your travel agent or tour operator if you booked through one, transfer and flight providers, our payment processor and bank, and our accountants and auditors.

We may disclose information where the law, a lawful request from a public authority, or the protection of someone’s safety requires it.

Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept for up to two years, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us.

Booking, payment and tax records are kept for as long as Kenyan accounting and tax law requires, and then deleted.

If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep a minimal record of that request so that we can honour it.

Your information is held in our reservation and email systems and, where a booking is placed through an agent, in their systems too. Some of these providers operate servers outside Kenya. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled with appropriate safeguards wherever it is processed.

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, and withdraw your consent to marketing at any time.

Write to us at the address below and we will respond. Guests in Kenya may also raise a concern with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner; guests in the EU or UK may raise a concern with their national supervisory authority.

This site uses only what is needed to display the pages and keep your language choice. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Some pages embed third-party services — a booking engine, a map, an audio player, a virtual tour — and those services may set their own cookies when you interact with them.

Children are welcome at the camp. We collect information about a child only from the adult booking on their behalf, and only what we need for the child’s stay and safety.
